Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Controls to lead enterprise governance, platforms, and analytics for a large portfolio of municipal, industrial, and federal projects. You will drive integrated delivery, optimize cost/schedule controls, and advance digital modernization across the organization.

Ideal candidates have deep experience in design-build, strong leadership, and a track record of enabling profitable project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 15+ years of related experience.
• PMP or PgM certification required.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Define the enterprise project controls strategy, standards, methodologies, and governance model; drive consistent adoption across business units and regions.
• Establish project controls approaches for design-build, progressive design-build, CMAR, construction management, and other integrated delivery models.
• Strengthen budgeting, earned value management, forecasting, variance analysis, and scheduling.
• Develop leading indicators, project health reviews, dashboards, and actionable insights for margin, backlog, and delivery risk.
• Lead modernization of project controls platforms, data, and workflows; promote AI-enabled forecasting and automation.
• Establish scalable standards for document management and data quality in project delivery.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to improve predictability, profitability, and client outcomes.
• Lead talent development and build a strong enterprise project controls community.
