Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Controls to lead enterprise project controls across a large portfolio of integrated design-build projects for municipal, industrial, and federal clients. This enterprise role will establish and continuously improve governance, systems, analytics, and talent needed to deliver projects safely, profitably, and predictably.

Qualifications

Demonstrated leadership of project controls for large, complex integrated design build portfolios.
Experience with integrated design-build, progressive design-build, CMAR or similar delivery models.
Experience leading digital transformation or enterprise platforms across projects.
Deep knowledge of cost engineering, scheduling, forecasting, earned value management, and risk management.
Strong business and financial acumen with clear executive-level communication.

Responsibilities

Define enterprise project controls strategy, standards, and governance across regions.
Establish controls for design-build, CMAR, and other delivery models from planning through closeout.
Strengthen budgeting, forecasting, earned value, and master scheduling practices.
Develop dashboards and predictive insights for margin, cash flow, and delivery risk.
Lead modernization of data, workflows, and reporting with AI-enabled forecasting.
Set standards for document controls, records, and configuration management.
Collaborate with leadership to improve project profitability and client outcomes.
Build talent through training and career development.
