Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Controls to provide enterprise leadership for project controls across a large portfolio of design-build projects for municipal, industrial, and federal clients. This enterprise role will establish governance, systems, analytics, and talent needed to deliver projects safely, profitably, and predictably.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 15 or more years of related experience.
• PMP or PgM certification required.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise project controls strategy, standards, and governance; drive adoption across units.
• Establish controls approaches for design-build, CMAR, and other delivery models; align cost, schedule, risk, and commercial controls.
• Strengthen budgeting, earned value management, forecasting, variance analysis, and critical path analysis.
• Develop leading indicators, dashboards, and actionable insights for margin, backlog, cash flow, and delivery risk.
• Lead modernization of project controls platforms, data, workflows, and automation with AI-enabled forecasting.
• Establish scalable standards for document management, records, configuration control, and collaboration tools.
• Collaborate with leadership and teams to improve predictability, profitability, and client outcomes.
• Lead and develop schedulers, cost controllers, and document control professionals.
