Job summary

Holistic Partners, Inc. is seeking a Senior POS Systems Engineer to support, engineer, and enhance its enterprise retail POS environment. You will own and troubleshoot complex POS platforms, applications, and integrations in a high-volume retail setting.

The role requires hands-on expertise with major POS systems, strong vendor management, and the ability to drive issues to resolution. This onsite role offers hybrid flexibility with remote Fridays alternating, and a 6-month contract-to-hire path.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Retail POS engineering experience.
• Strong experience with enterprise POS platforms (NCR, Toshiba, GK/Fujitsu, ECRS, or equivalent).
• Deep understanding of POS applications, architecture, and functionality.
• Experience with POS integrations and end-to-end transaction flows.
• Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience supporting Windows-based POS systems and peripherals.
• Ability to manage third-party vendors and technical escalations.
• Knowledge of payment processing and POS-to-payment terminal integrations.
• Ability to take ownership and drive issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, support, and enhance enterprise POS applications and related store technologies.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across POS software, hardware, and integrations.
• Understand and support end-to-end transaction workflows.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues.
• Support POS upgrades, testing, implementations, and new functionality.
• Serve as senior escalation point and drive root cause resolution.
• Improve system reliability, documentation, and support processes.
