Job summary

Cloudflare in Houston, TX is seeking a Customer Engineer to bridge technical strategy and business value for enterprise clients. You will guide pre-sales validations, onboarding, deployment architecture, and ongoing expansion while acting as a quota-bearing technical advisor.

In this role, you will leverage AI-enhanced workflows to reduce manual tasks and drive measurable outcomes across the customer journey, collaborating with Account Executives and Enablement teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing technical roles such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Professional Services, or Sales Engineering.
• Strong architectural mindset with ability to design scalable, secure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Technical Validation: lead deep-dive discovery, capture business requirements, and map customer infrastructure to fit company architectures; define evaluation plans for PoCs.
• Customer Adoption & Value Realization: guide technical onboarding and ensure rapid time-to-value while maintaining executive-level engagement.
• Commercial Accountability & Expansion: drive revenue through platform adoption and cross-sell opportunities; participate in quarterly business reviews.
• Trusted Advisory: maintain relationships with key stakeholders and provide guidance on architecture, security, and deployment confidence.
• AI Orchestration & Workflow Automation: leverage AI to automate routine responses and provisioning, freeing time for strategic advisory.
• Education & Enablement: collaborate to create SOPs and technical guides to raise the organization's technical baseline.
