Job summary

Apply is seeking an experienced Billing Operations Manager to own the enterprise billing lifecycle, translating complex contracts into accurate, timely invoices and building the processes and controls that scale our growth.

This hands-on role collaborates with Deal Desk, Enterprise Sales, Legal, and Customer Success to ensure billing accuracy, smooth renewals, and a superior customer experience in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
• 7+ years of experience in billing operations, order management, order-to-cash, revenue operations, or a related finance function.
• Billing expertise: interpret complex customer agreements and translate into billing schedules and invoices.
• Systems proficiency with NetSuite, Salesforce, tax engines, and billing platforms.
• Accounting fundamentals: accounts receivable, deferred revenue, ASC 606.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise billing operations from setup through recurring invoicing, renewals, amendments, and cancellations.
• Review nonstandard billing terms before contracts are signed and route exceptions for approval.
• Translate pricing and terms into billing configurations, including prorations and prepaid credits.
• Serve as primary contact for billing inquiries and disputes; investigate discrepancies and coordinate credits/rebills.
• Reconcile data to billing output; support month-end close and audits with documentation.
• Identify and resolve billing system integration failures.
• Coordinate renewals, expansions, and changes with Customer Success, Sales, and Deal Desk.
