Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to align enterprise architecture with business objectives and technology strategy, delivering architecture roadmaps and governance across data, applications and infrastructure.

You will lead strategic initiatives, ensure security and compliance, and partner with senior leaders to optimize speed to market, cost of ownership, and ROI while guiding vendors and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field; equivalent work experience preferred.
• Experience building large-scale business/technology transformations in eCommerce, ERP, and data domains.
• Strong understanding of web tech stack (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, REST APIs).
• Previous development and solution architecture experience preferred.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of data modeling, data governance, and integration concepts.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Alignment: Translate business drivers into EA requirements and align technology with business goals and financial planning.
• Architecture Leadership: Design architectures across business, application, data, and technology domains to enable agility and reduce TCO.
• Roadmaps & Standards: Develop IT strategies, architecture roadmaps, reference architectures, and enforce standards and governance.
• Solution Delivery: Build extensible solution architectures and lead cross-team collaboration during implementation.
• Innovation & Research: Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends; provide thought leadership on adoption.
• Risk & ROI Analysis: Evaluate solutions for risk, ROI, schedule, and budget; communicate future-state architectures.
• Vendor & Tool Management: Participate in RFPs, vendor evaluations, pricing models, and upgrade/retirement plans.
• Education & Communication: Promote EA processes; create training materials and position papers; lead communications plans.
• Governance & Compliance: Establish guiding principles for decisions; maintain technology vision and standards across projects.
