Job summary

The County of Galveston is seeking a senior IT Applications Specialist to provide technical and functional support, administration, analysis, configuration, and integration for enterprise applications. The role requires independent judgment and translating business needs into effective technology solutions.

You will collaborate with County departments, manage incidents, deployments, and lifecycle activities, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science or equivalent.
• Three years of experience with enterprise applications, systems analysis, or integration.
• Experience with SQL Server, APIs, data exchange, and automated processes.
• Experience in application configuration, workflow development, and lifecycle support.
• Experience with reporting tools such as SSRS/SSIS.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical and functional administration, configuration, maintenance, support, and troubleshooting for assigned applications.
• Acts as primary technical resource with advanced knowledge of system functionality, integrations, and data.
• Investigates incidents, performs root-cause analysis, and implements corrective actions.
• Manages incidents and service requests through the departmental ticketing system per SLA.
• Develops and supports configurations, workflows, reporting, interfaces, and data exchanges.
• Collaborates with vendors to troubleshoot issues and coordinate support.
