Job summary

The County of Galveston is seeking a skilled IT Applications Analyst to provide technical and functional support, administration, analysis, configuration, and lifecycle support for enterprise applications.

The position independently analyzes application and business process issues; develops and implements technical solutions; supports system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and enhancements; and serves as a senior technical resource to County departments and other Information Technology

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a closely related field.
• Requires three years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise or business applications, systems analysis, application support, development, or integration.
• Experience with enterprise, departmental, or line-of-business application administration and support.
• Experience with database technologies, data exchange, and automated processes.
• Software development or scripting using C#, .NET, Java, PowerShell, SQL, or comparable technologies.
• Experience with reporting and data integration tools such as SSRS or SSIS.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical and functional administration, configuration, maintenance, support, and troubleshooting for assigned applications.
• Serves as a primary technical resource and maintains advanced knowledge of system functionality and integrations.
• Investigates and resolves complex incidents and service requests; performs root-cause analysis.
• Manages incidents, requests, and enhancements through the ticketing system per SLAs.
• Develops and maintains configurations, workflows, reporting, and data exchanges within assigned areas.
