Job summary

Ascend Wellness Holdings, LLC is seeking a Manager, Enterprise Analytics to lead the design, operation, and maintenance of the SQL database environment and ETL/ELT pipelines, enabling trusted Power BI reporting and analytics across the organization.

You will oversee data architecture, semantic modeling, and governance, collaborating with stakeholders to define metrics and ensure data quality, security, and performance in Azure and Fabric environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Minimum five years of experience in BI engineering, data engineering, or a related SQL/database role
• Experience building semantic models in Power BI (Tabular, DAX) or Azure Analysis Services
• Hands-on experience with Azure data services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and/or Azure Data Factory
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric including Fabric Lakehouses, OneLake, Fabric Pipelines, and Direct Lake models
• Experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
• Strong SQL proficiency with tuning and optimization for large datasets
• Experience with SQL Server in Azure environment
• Knowledge of data security concepts and data quality checks
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD for data assets and model deployments
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain Azure-based SQL Server environments across dev, test, and production tiers
• Design, build, and maintain enterprise semantic models (Power BI Tabular, Direct Lake) as the authoritative logic layer
• Define and govern measures, KPIs, hierarchies, and relationships for consistency
• Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Fabric Pipelines, dbt, or equivalent
• Manage and monitor production data jobs and pipelines with SLA adherence
• Perform code promotion to test and production environments
• Implement data quality checks and observability tooling
• Enforce CI/CD practices and documentation for data assets
