Job summary

Essent Group Ltd. in Radnor, PA, seeks a Senior Power BI Data Architect to design enterprise-scale analytics, build scalable semantic models, and lead governance across BI platforms.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable analytics that inform business decisions and drive performance. The role requires expert Power BI proficiency (DAX, Power Query, data modeling) and strong SQL across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and Redshift, plus AWS data warehousing

Qualifications

• Advanced BI architecture and data engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Expert-level Power BI with DAX, Power Query, and data modeling skills.
• Strong SQL and relational database capabilities across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server and Redshift.
• Proven AWS cloud architecture experience and data warehousing know-how.
• Experience with data governance tools and CI/CD for BI deployments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop enterprise-scale semantic models for self-service Power BI analytics.
• Collaborate with data architects and ETL teams to ingest, transform, and prepare data.
• Implement data governance, access controls, and security policies.
• Translate analytical requirements into effective BI solutions with stakeholders.
• Optimize reports and datasets with advanced modeling, DAX, and tuning.
• Lead metadata management, data lineage, and data quality efforts.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IT staff and business users.
• Support enterprise reporting strategy with scalable, reliable analytics platforms.
