Job summary

Kong is seeking an experienced Enterprise Account Executive in Sacramento, CA, to own the full sales lifecycle for enterprise API and AI connectivity solutions. You will manage complex multi‑year deals with CTOs, VP Eng, and CISOs, and drive growth across Kong Konnect and AI gateway offerings.

You will engage across technical champions and business buyers, build strategic plans, and partner with solutions engineers to tailor demonstrations and proposals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle closing with mid-market and enterprise logos (1000+ employees).
• Direct experience in modern B2B SaaS or infrastructure, across open source, developer platforms, cloud/networking, APIs, Kubernetes, observability.

Responsibilities

• Own the territory from outreach through close.
• Maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline generation.
• Represent Kong at events and customer meetings.
• Collaborate with Solutions Engineers, SDRs, and Customer Success.
