Copper Ridge Nursing & Assisted Living Center is seeking an exceptionally organized Activities Director to create and oversee a senior enrichment program. The role involves gauging resident interests, designing engaging activities, and ensuring resources and staff support.

You will analyze uptake to keep the program stimulating and inclusive for all abilities. Success means developing diverse activities sensitive to physical and cognitive differences, promoting well-being, joy, and a tranquil

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification is preferred.
• Appropriate training is advantageous.
• Demonstrable experience as an Activities Director for a similar group is required.
• Computer literate with budgeting tools.
• Top-notch program, event planning, and supervision skills.
• Upbeat, communicative, and empathic disposition.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with staff and clinicians to promote healing and belonging through activities.
• Conduct needs assessments to gauge physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities.
• Identify individual interests and expectations for leisure time.
• Oversee the use of available finances for activities.
• Develop a diverse activities program sensitive to occupants’ needs.
• Procure supplies for activities, via purchase or lease.
• Source, train, and supervise Activities Assistants.
• Advertise events well in advance of their scheduled times.
• Supervise and participate in events with staff and occupants.
• Compile periodic reports on successes, constraints, and next steps.
