Job summary

Copper Ridge Healthcare Center in Butte, MT seeks an Activity Assistant to support the Activity Director in delivering a creative, resident-centered activities program that meets regulatory standards and the residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial needs.

You will help plan and conduct activities, coordinate monthly schedules, arrange transportation, document progress, and assist with assessments, ensuring clear communication among staff, residents, families, and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Preferable one-year experience in a long-term care facility.
• Requires dementia training
• Must be willing to learn
• Must have experience working with residents

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and conducting individual, small and large group activities.
• Assist in providing good communication between employees at all levels, residents, families, and the public.
• Participate in community planning related to facility interests and resident needs.
• Develop and maintain the monthly activity calendar and attendance records.
• Assist in developing plans to correct quality deficiencies as requested.
• Assist in discharge planning and resident assessments.
• Arrange transportation for residents for outings, appointments, or discharge.
• Develop monthly activity schedules including outings and in-room activities.
