Job summary

Copper Ridge Nursing & Assisted Living Center is seeking an exceptionally organized and engaging Activities Director to create and oversee our senior enrichment program. You will gauge resident interests, design activities, and ensure resources are available while promoting well-being and enjoyment.

Responsibilities include collaborating with staff, conducting needs assessments, planning diverse events, managing budgets, and supervising Activities Assistants. Weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or certification preferred.
• Certification and training helpful for activities programs.
• Experience as an Activities Director with similar population.
• Proficient with budgeting tools and computer literacy.
• Strong program planning and supervision abilities.
• Upbeat, empathetic, and excellent communicator.
• Willingness to occasional weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff to promote healing and belonging through activities.
• Conduct needs assessments to tailor activities to abilities.
• Determine resident interests and expectations for leisure.
• Oversee budgeting and use of available finances.
• Develop a diverse activities program meeting residents' needs.
• Purchase or lease supplies for activities.
• Source, train, and supervise Activities Assistants.
• Advertise events well in advance and coordinate scheduling.
• Supervise events with staff and residents; report outcomes.
