Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Resident Lifestyle Director to lead a comprehensive program of life-enrichment activities for residents in our senior communities. You will design and coordinate engaging programs addressing physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being, while managing a team of activity staff and volunteers.

You will oversee hiring, training, and supervising staff, collaborate with marketing on community events, and help shape the department budget.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 3+ years designing/leading life-enrichment activities for seniors in IL/AL/MC settings.
• 1 year leadership experience in senior living, hospitality, or healthcare preferred.
• Experience in dementia care is a plus.
• Previous event planning experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct oversight of all life-enrichment activities, outings, and programs for residents.
• Create and lead arts, crafts, music, drama, educational, and exercise activities.
• Prepare a monthly newsletter, calendar of activities, and monthly activity meetings.
• Hire, train, and supervise Resident Lifestyle Assistants, Coordinators, and Drivers.
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers when appropriate.
• Encourage resident participation and celebrate achievements.
• Obtain equipment and supplies and organize storage for accessibility.
• Work with Marketing to plan events to promote the community.
• Participate with the Executive Director in developing a department budget.
• Foster family and community support through newsletters and events.
• Coordinate transportation of residents to events, including driving a company vehicle.
