State of North Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking an Engineering Technician III (S) in Division 10 Monroe Resident Engineer's office. The role supports engineers by inspecting highway construction, monitoring contractor operations, reviewing test reports, and ensuring compliance with plans, specs, and DBE requirements.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field with three years of progressive technician experience, plus

Competenze

• Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field and three (3) years of progressive technician level experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may qualify under job posting language.
• Experience analyzing highway construction plans and interpreting plans and specs is required.
• Experience planning, developing, scheduling, tracking, and completing projects independently or with limited supervision.

Mansioni

• Monitor contractor daily operations and incorporated materials to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Perform and/or review test reports and monthly quantities for payments; maintain daily diaries.
• Manage contract administration duties such as pay records, material received reports, and certified payroll reviews.
• Assist in training and guiding lower-level technicians and CEI personnel.
