Job summary

RTX in the United States seeks a Sr. Engineering Manager - Design Quality to lead the Design Quality Assurance organization, drive strategic quality improvements, and mentor a high-performing team.

The role is onsite in Richardson, TX or Sterling, VA, with travel up to 25% and a requirement for active or eligible SECRET clearance. The position emphasizes strategic leadership, COPQ reduction, data-driven quality strategies, and cross-functional collaboration to elevate our aerospace and defense

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years of experience or an Advanced Degree with at least 7 years.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
• Experience with design and development engineering, including Systems and Software Engineering.
• Experience leading a team in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic quality plans and policies to hit targets.
• Direct organization-wide projects to improve product quality and COPQ.
• Oversee data collection and analysis to inform long-term quality strategy.
• Lead process analyses and recommend improvements for standards compliance.
