Job summary

MKS Inc. in the Plasma Solutions unit is seeking a Sr. Engineering Manager to lead the Reggio-Emilia, Italy–based engineering team.

You will direct design, development, and testing of complex semiconductor systems to meet product specifications, cost targets, and manufacturability. The role requires strong leadership, cross‑functional collaboration with the US team, budget and schedule oversight, and clear technical communication.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or related experience >10+ years.
• 2+ years of engineering management or technical leadership.
• Organizational leadership, driving results, coaching and collaboration.
• Understanding of the product development process.
• Excellent verbal and written communications; English mandatory.
• Familiarity with high-powered microwave generators is a plus.
• Knowledge of microwave techniques and applications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a technical team to meet product specifications, design, and test plans.
• Foster innovation with data-driven problem solving.
• Collaborate with Plasma Solutions engineering group (US-based) on designs.
• Coordinate with Product Marketing and PMO to meet customer expectations.
• Establish budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements.
• Communicate technical information through reviews, specifications, and reports.
• Present updates to senior leaders and customers.
