Job summary

MKS Inc. is conducting an R&D-focused role centered on high performance plasma power generation equipment used in semiconductor processing tools. You will report to the Head of R&D and contribute across firmware, electronics design, simulations, and real-world validation.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, circuit design, and collaboration with purchasing and manufacturing teams. A strong theoretical electronics background and robust writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS EE or equivalent with >5 years in power electronics.
• MS EE or equivalent with >3 years in power electronics.
• Strong background in electronics and physics.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, Simulink, SPICE, PCB layouts.
• Testing power electronics with equipment (oscilloscopes, analyzers, meters).
• Good writing skills for proposals, specs, reports.
• Excellent organizational and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work with purchasing and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Design and simulate high-speed impedance matching circuits/systems.
• Develop control systems for power generators and networks.
• Validate product performance in plasma processing environments.
• Handle resonant tanks, RF inverters, DC/DC converters.
• Design and debug analog and power electronics.
• Contribute to high voltage switch-mode power supply design.
