Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead development across multiple disciplines, driving system integration and verification for next-generation technologies.

You will provide technical leadership in ozone, remote plasma sources, control systems, and electromechanical subsystems, steering projects from concept to hands-on testing. The role requires strong communication, experience with analog/digital design, and a track record of successful product releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or systems engineering or similar.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical or systems engineering.
• Experience with analog and digital design circuitry and systems integration.
• Experience with DVT planning and test methodologies.
• Strong communication skills; ability to present technical updates.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical planning activities, including scope definition and milestone tracking.
• Scope market requirements and customer needs with Product Marketing and applications teams.
• Create system-level engineering design specifications and project scope documents.
• Develop and execute system integration, verification, and DVT plans.
• Drive technical issue resolution, root cause investigations, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, and Compliance.
• Manage project schedules, resources, dependencies, and risk mitigation.
• Ensure projects are on time while meeting performance, quality, regulatory, and cost objectives.
• Prepare and present technical updates and executive-level communications.
