Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking an Senior Engineering Manager for the Egress team in a role spanning leadership of software and systems engineers across distributed infra. You will shape the culture, mentor engineers, and drive the technical vision for egress connectivity powering Cloudflare's products.

You will collaborate with product and engineering leaders to align roadmaps, manage production services, and improve reliability with automation.

Qualifications

5+ years experience as an Engineering Manager for a team of Software and Systems Engineers.
Proven track record of hiring, onboarding, and developing team members.
Strong planning, execution, and predictability in delivering commitments.
Experience/interest in Layer 3 and Layer 4 networking.
Experience in monitoring/diagnostic of distributed systems and customer impact.
Willingness to adopt and integrate AI tools into workflow.
Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Hire, mentor, and coach a distributed team of Software Engineers on the Egress team.
Communicate vision with Product Managers and Engineering leaders; prioritize roadmap.
Assess tradeoffs and influence design decisions across distributed network infra.
Manage production services: on-call rotations, incidents, and post-mortems.
Drive reliability and automation improvements across the platform.
Convey project status and unblock blockages using appropriate tools.
