Cloudflare, a global Internet security and performance company, seeks an Engineering Manager for the Egress team. You will lead software and systems engineers, shape the roadmap, and ensure delivery across a distributed network powering many products.

We require 5+ years as an engineering manager, proven hiring and mentorship skills, and expertise in Layer 3/4 networking, network performance monitoring, on-call reliability, and clear communication. AI tools adoption is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering management experience.
• Proven ability to hire, onboard, and mentor engineers.
• Strong planning and execution to meet commitments.
• Experience with Layer 3 and Layer 4 networking.
• Experience with monitoring and tuning distributed systems.
• Comfort with on-call rotations and incident response.
• Willingness to adopt AI tools in workflow.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Communicate the vision and priorities with Product Managers and Engineering leads.
• Oversee design, implementation, and delivery across distributed software networks.
• Evaluate tradeoffs and influence scope to unblock projects.
• Manage on-call rotations and incident response.
• Drive reliability and automation improvements.
• Use tools to convey status and resolve blockages.
