Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Digital & Mixed-Signal Hardware to lead a growing team responsible for high‑performance electronics used in space communications systems. You will oversee architecture, design, and production readiness while guiding engineers through reviews, mentoring, and cross‑discipline collaboration.

You will stay close to technical details, establish standards, and build scalable processes that enable rigorous execution across sites.

Qualifications

• Experience leading hardware teams in aerospace/defense environments preferred.
• Strong mentoring and coaching abilities for engineers at scale.
• Ability to drive architecture reviews and design decisions across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical integrity and engineering excellence for digital and mixed-signal electronics development.
• Establish scalable digital hardware processes and high-speed interface guidelines.
• Provide design reviews, mentor engineers, and ensure SME engagement across disciplines.
• Occasionally contribute to board-level digital/mixed-signal design to close gaps.
• Lead complex debug efforts for high-speed interfaces and large FPGA implementations.
• Ensure designs are buildable/testable at scale using DFM/DFT best practices.
• Drive handoff from engineering to manufacturing with supply chain and production test.
• Ensure quality, reliability, and scalability for aerospace/defense production.
• Partner with Supply Chain for component availability and lifecycle risk mitigation.
• Drive design reuse and platform commonality across products.
