Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking an Engineering Manager, Digital & Mixed-Signal Hardware to lead high-speed digital electronics teams across multiple sites and product lines. This leadership role delivers well-engineered digital/mixed-signal hardware on schedule and provides technical ownership for board- and system-level designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required.
• 7+ years of digital or mixed-signal hardware engineering experience, aerospace preferred; leadership experience a plus.
• Deep expertise in high-speed digital and mixed-signal board design.
• Software-defined radio experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of signal integrity and timing.
• Experience with DFM/DFT and production transition.
• Proven ability to conduct rigorous technical reviews and mentor engineers.
• Ability to balance architectural rigor with execution speed in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with high-speed simulation/analysis tools such as Ansys SiWave or ADS SiPro.
• Hands-on schematic capture and PCB layout with Altium.
• Familiarity with FPGA toolchains (e.g. Xilinx Vivado) preferred.
• Strong technical and non-technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical integrity and engineering excellence for high-speed digital and mixed-signal electronics development across the company.
• Establish, mature, scale, and enforce engineer-friendly digital hardware development processes and standards.
• Lead architecture and design reviews with SME engagement across disciplines.
• Contribute to board-level designs and debug activities for high-risk programs.
• Lead or support complex debug involving high-speed interfaces and large FPGA/processor implementations.
• Ensure designs are buildable/testable at scale using DFM/DFT best practices.
• Drive handoff from engineering to manufacturing with manufacturing, supply chain, and test teams.
• Ensure hardware designs meet aerospace quality, reliability, and scalability requirements.
• Collaborate with supply chain on component availability and lifecycle risk.
• Promote design reuse and modular architectures across products.
