Job summary

CesiumAstro seeks a Senior Engineering Manager, Digital & Mixed-Signal Hardware to lead a growing team delivering high-performance electronics for communications systems, including software-defined radios and phased-array control systems. You will ensure tech quality and on-time delivery from architecture through production.

This is a technical management role, not an individual contributor. You will mentor, review designs, set standards, and drive reusable engineering practices across sites.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical integrity and engineering excellence for board-level digital and mixed-signal electronics development across the company.
• Establish, mature, and scale engineer-friendly digital hardware development processes, including high-speed interface guidelines and SI workflows.
• Provide detailed technical reviews and mentorship through architecture/design reviews, engaging SMEs across digital, RF, power, firmware, and mechanical disciplines.
• Occasionally contribute to board-level digital/mixed-signal designs to close gaps in critical programs.
• Lead or support complex debug efforts involving high-speed interfaces and large FPGA/processor implementations.
• Ensure digital designs are buildable/testable at scale using DFM/DFT best practices.
• Drive handoff from engineering to manufacturing with manufacturing engineering, supply chain, and production test teams.
• Ensure designs meet aerospace/defense quality, reliability, and scalability standards.
• Partner with Supply Chain for component availability and lifecycle risk mitigation.
• Drive design reuse, modular architectures, and platform commonality across products.
