Job summary

Pebl, based in Palo Alto, is seeking a hands-on Senior Engineering Manager to lead a high-impact Growth team. You will guide technical strategy, code alongside your engineers, and drive AI-native practices using Claude Code to boost velocity and quality.

You will partner with product and data to shape roadmaps for activation and retention, build scalable systems with React, TypeScript, and AWS, and mentor engineers while maintaining rigorous quality and observability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of formal experience in engineering management leading a team.
• Proven full-stack experience with React, TypeScript, and AWS.
• Experience leveraging Claude Code or similar LLM tools to speed development.
• Track record in SaaS growth: activation, retention, metrics-driven UX.
• Strong communication across leadership and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical strategy for the Growth organization and participate in the development lifecycle.
• AI-native execution: champion an AI-first engineering culture and integrate Claude Code into workflows to accelerate experimentation and velocity.
• Growth engineering strategy: define the technical roadmap for acquisition and retention with modern, scalable architecture (React, TS, AWS).
• Team growth & mentorship: recruit, mentor, and grow engineers with a balance of human and AI-driven development.
• Operational excellence: maintain observability and quality benchmarks while accelerating delivery with AI tools.
• On-site collaboration: foster in-person teamwork at our Palo Alto office (Mon-Wed) to enhance cross-functional problem solving.
