Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Manager of Applied AI Engineers for its Megas segment in San Francisco. You will lead a team embedded with strategic accounts, co-designing complex Claude-based solutions, advising on architecture, and guiding production deployments from discovery to implementation.

You will coach engineers, set goals, and partner with pod leads, Mega Sales, Partnerships, Product, and Research to scale technical impact while upholding safety and reliability standards.

Responsibilities

• Build, coach, and grow a team of Applied AI Engineers serving Mega accounts and drive technical excellence.
• Staff engineers into account-aligned pods, balancing continuity with flexible expertise.
• Set performance goals and establish metrics, dashboards, and reporting for team health and impact.
• Guide architectures for Claude workloads from discovery through production deployment.
• Lead co-build initiatives with Mega engineering teams to accelerate customer value.
• Navigate partner-customer dynamics for direct consumption and distribution of Claude.
• Act as escalation point and sequence technical work for maximum impact.
• Create reusable reference architectures and eval frameworks across pods.
• Collaborate with Product and Research to surface Mega-driven requirements.
