Job summary

Pebl is seeking a highly technical, deeply analytical Director of Data to lead our data strategy, infrastructure, and AI integration from our Palo Alto office. You will own the data fabric, governance, and security across global payroll and compliance data, and you will evangelize the AI Everywhere initiative.

Based in Palo Alto, you will collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Legal to ensure data is secure, accessible, and actionable.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or analytics.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Fivetran, Atlan, Looker, and Monte Carlo.
• Proven track record deploying LLMs and AI tools for production products and internal workflows.
• Ability to translate data initiatives into top-line growth and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Architect Pebl's data infrastructure and platforms across departments.
• Lead data engineering, analytics, and AI efforts to drive business outcomes.
• Embed AI capabilities into R&D, marketing, sales, operations, finance, and legal workflows.
• Build and mentor a high-performing data team and cultivate a data-driven culture.
• Communicate complex data insights to executives and non-technical stakeholders.
