Job summary

the company is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Agent Platform & UX to lead two teams focused on onboarding and activation experiences for humans and AI agents. You will guide roadmaps, align with product and design, and shape the developer platform through API-driven interfaces.

You will hire and mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, and manage growth while maintaining team identity and momentum in a fast-paced startup-like environment.

Qualifications

• Strong people leadership is the top priority for this role.
• Hands-on enough to review code, prototype, and contribute directly when it helps the team.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity, with adaptability and a growth mindset.
• Proven experience building and scaling more than one team, ideally growing a group from a handful of engineers into a larger org.
• Experience managing and developing senior (IC5+) engineers, including hiring and performance management.
• Ability to partner closely with product and design without needing to fill those functions yourself.
• Strong product instincts, with the ability to connect engineering investment to growth and activation outcomes.
• Background from a startup preferred, though experience at a larger company can work too. What matters is the ability to operate at pace.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow two teams, UX (human onboarding and activation) and Agent Platform (the equivalent experience for agents via programmatic interfaces like the MCP, CLI, API, SDK, and Blueprints)
• Own the roadmap for the company's self-serve user journey, from first touch through activation, initial monetization, usage expansion, new feature adoption, and PQL graduation
• Drive the agent-facing side of the platform: build the API-driven experience that lets agents integrate with and operate on the company
• Partner with the dedicated product and design partners on both teams to align roadmap with customer, growth, and platform needs
• Hire and develop engineers to support planned team growth, while keeping both teams' identities and focus areas clear as they scale
• Make key architectural and product decisions, balancing long-term platform investment against iterative improvements to onboarding and activation
• Build a strong performance management and career development practice for a team that already includes senior ICs
