Job summary

Hilton Indianapolis is seeking an Assistant Director of Engineering to support the Director in managing a complex property engineering function. You will translate direction into programs, lead managers, and oversee maintenance governance while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include asset reviews, capital planning, budget support, and cross-functional collaboration to protect guests and property operations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated capability to manage substantial portions of a hotel, resort or similar facility engineering function.
• Verified experience leading people, maintenance programs, contractors, compliance activity, budgets or projects.
• Ability to prepare scopes, analyses, recommendations and management reporting.
• Licenses or certifications applicable to delegated property responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in administering day-to-day engineering operations and programs.
• Lead assigned managers and engineers; coordinate staffing and follow-up.
• Assist with preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance governance and inspections.
• Manage fire/life-safety, emergency, permits, inspections and regulatory compliance programs.
• Assist in asset-condition reviews and lifecycle risk evaluation; develop replacement recommendations.
• Develop and maintain the property capital plan with scopes, estimates and business cases.
• Coordinate projects, shutdowns and commissioning activities, including budget and change control.
• Support engineering budget, procurement, and cost center management.
• Analyze utilities, asset data, KPI and BAS information to identify variances and improvements.
