Job summary

Fairmont New Orleans, part of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, seeks a seasoned Engineering leader to oversee daily operations across guestrooms, public areas, outlets, spa, and back‑of‑house facilities. You will develop preventive maintenance programs, ensure asset reliability, and coordinate timely repairs to protect guest experiences.

Lead a multi‑skilled team, manage budgets, and uphold safety, life‑safety, and regulatory standards while promoting a guest‑focused culture and brand values.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent in Engineering or Facilities Management.
• 1st class operating engineer license preferred.
• 5–8 years of progressive luxury hotel engineering experience.
• Supervisory/management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily engineering operations across guestrooms, public areas, outlets, spa, and back-of-house facilities.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and protect asset value.
• Perform and coordinate timely repairs of all hotel systems, equipment, and fixtures.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure safety, fire, life, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
• Respond to emergency maintenance needs and VIP guest requests promptly.
• Supervise, schedule, and support the engineering team; prioritize tasks for productivity.
