Fairmont New Orleans, a unit of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, seeks an experienced Engineering leader to oversee daily operations of guestrooms, public areas, outlets, and back-of-house facilities. This role drives preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and timely repairs while guiding a multi-skilled team.

Responsibilities include budgeting assistance, energy management, and coordinating capital projects, with emphasis on guest satisfaction and service excellence within a luxury brand.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in engineering or facilities management.
• 5–8 years of luxury hotel engineering experience.
• Previous supervisory/management experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily engineering operations across guestrooms, public areas, outlets, spa, and back-of-house facilities.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability.
• Perform and coordinate timely repairs of hotel systems, equipment, and fixtures.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure safety, fire, life, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
• Respond to emergency maintenance needs and VIP guest requests promptly.
• Supervise, schedule, and support the engineering team; assign work orders and prioritize tasks.
• Monitor labor logs, attendance, and staffing levels to maintain cost efficiency.
• Lead and develop a multi-skilled team with a service-driven culture.
• Monitor energy usage and collaborate on sustainability initiatives to control utility costs.
• Assist with budgeting, purchasing, inventory management, and cost control.
• Support capital projects, renovations, and contractor oversight.
• Communicate issues to the Director of Engineering and collaborate across departments.
