Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Bellevue, WA, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to organize and supervise the engineering group, oversee maintenance staff, and ensure performance through HR processes and development.

You will manage building systems, budgeting, preventive maintenance programs, safety manuals, and coordination with tenants and contractors, while maintaining high service standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• 12+ years related work experience with supervisory duties.
• Experience managing a crew (7+ years).
• 7+ years in a data center or critical environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage all administrative functions related to the engineering group.
• Supervise engineers and maintenance staff including hiring, training, personnel development, etc.
• Ensure performance management, coaching, and development of team members through HR processes.
• Manage operating budgets and capital budgeting, including variance reporting and utility management.
• Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment; identify and resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs with scheduled tasks.
• Coordinate maintenance with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel, and engineers.
• Oversee all building systems (fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, electrical) and ensure compliance with latest trends.
• Maintain communication with tenants, clients, property management, and vendors.
