Senior Engineer - Structural – Mi-Tech Services, Inc.

Montgomery, IL

Mi-Tech is a full-service engineering, design, and construction firm delivering comprehensive in‑house support for utility, infrastructure, and heavy civil projects from planning and design through execution.

As a senior structural engineer you will design a wide variety of temporary and permanent structures for utility, infrastructure, and heavy civil projects. Your primary responsibilities include developing calculation submittals, coordinating the development of design and shop drawings, and supporting project pursuits and bids through preliminary evaluations and analyses. You will also mentor and support other engineers, communicate and coordinate with design and field teams, and provide support to the Principal Engineer with any other assigned duties.

What It Takes

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 4 to 8 years of experience designing temporary works, heavy civil, or infrastructure projects.
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures preferred.
• Active Professional Engineer license in any state.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Mathcad, AutoCAD, and Finite Element Analysis.
• Basic knowledge of geotechnical engineering and related structures (foundations, retaining walls, earth retention systems) is a plus.
• Previous construction field experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a quickly changing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication required.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
