Job summary

Mi-Tech Services, Inc. in Minnesota seeks a Senior Engineer - Geostructural to design a wide range of temporary and permanent structures for heavy civil and utility projects. You will develop calculation submittals, coordinate design and shop drawings, and support pursuits with preliminary evaluations and analyses.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with design and field teams, and assist the Principal Engineer with additional duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 4–8 years of experience in designing temporary works, heavy civil, or infrastructure projects.
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures preferred.
• Active Professional Engineer license in any state.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Mathcad, AutoCAD, and Finite Element Analysis.
• Basic knowledge of geotechnical engineering and related structures is a plus.
• Previous construction field experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record as determined by Michels Review Team.

In your role as a senior structural engineer at Mi-Tech, you’ll design a wide variety of temporary and permanent structures associated with the construction of utility, infrastructure and heavy civil projects. Primary responsibilities include developing calculation submittals, coordinating the development of design and shop drawings, and supporting project pursuits and bids through preliminary evaluations and analyses. Additional tasks include mentoring and supporting other engineers, communicating and coordinating with design and field teams, and providing support to the Principal Engineer with any other assigned duties.
