Job summary

Venture Global LNG is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Cameron, LA project team. This role reports to the Engineering Director and focuses on delivering safe, cost-efficient structural designs for the CP2 facility.

Ideal candidates will have 10–18 years in refining or petrochemical contexts, with EPC project experience, leadership ability, and a proven record of coordinating RFIs, liaising with regulators, and mentoring engineers on multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• 10–18 years of relevant experience in refining and petrochemical industry, LNG projects, with EPC exposure.
• Leadership experience in a senior structural role and proven ability to guide teams.
• Experience managing and responding to RFIs from owner's construction team and EPC contractors.
• Strong communication and coordination across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Interface with LDOT and ACOE regulatory groups and ensure compliance.
• Provide input to weekly site engineering reports and field RFI responses.
• Coordinate with contractor/subcontractor to resolve field issues.
• Lead structural design review and provide technical guidance to project team.
• Mentor junior engineers and support project management.

Summary

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our project team in Cameron, LA.

This position is based out of our Calcasieu Pass LNG 2 (CP2) facility located in Cameron, Louisiana.

This position will report to the Director of Engineering.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities

• LDOT and ACOE regulatory interface
• Provides input to weekly site engineering report
• Provides input to weekly site engineering report
• Review surveyor deliverables and assist with fit up / interface misses at site
• Provides input to weekly site engineering report
• Provides input to weekly site engineering report
• Provide technical input to field RFI
• Co-ordinate with contractor and subcontractor for issue resolution.

Qualifications

Required experience

• 10-18 years’ minimum relevant experience in refining and petrochemical industry, LNG Project, preferably with EPC experience and 7 ~ 10 years in lead position.
• Self directs work with limited supervision.
• Provides guidance, leadership and training to less experienced engineers.
• Work with project team as representative and coordinates work within discipline department.
• Adjusts to varying demands of work and manage changes.
• Skill in oral and written communication
• Works collaboratively across departments and involves others in solving problems. Initiates meetings within own team, other disciplines or internal customers for clarity on work.
• Serves as technical resource and point of contact for external or internal customers.
• Should have experience in managing and responding to the RFIs from owner’s construction team, vendors, EPC contractors.

Preferred Experience
