Job summary

Venture Global LNG is seeking a Project Engineer in Houston, in-office, Monday–Friday. The role reports to the Manager of Project Engineering and requires coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams on refinery and LNG project tasks.

Qualified candidates will have a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, PE preferred, and at least 4 years of relevant LNG/refining experience. Proficiency in STAAD, AutoCAD, and related tools is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer with NCEES records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interface with LDOT and ACOE regulators.
• Provide input to the weekly site engineering report.
• Review surveyor deliverables and assist with interface misses at site.
• Provide technical input to field RFI.
• Coordinate with contractor and subcontractor for issue resolution.

Summary

We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Project Engineer.

This position will report to the Manager of Project Engineering. This is a Monday - Friday in-office position.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities

• LDOT and ACOE regulatory interface
• Provides input to weekly site engineering report
• Review surveyor deliverables and assist with fit up / interface misses at site
• Provide Technical input to field RFI
• Coordinate with contractor and subcontractor for issue resolution

Qualifications

Required experience

• 4 years’ minimum relevant experience in refining and petrochemical industry, LNG Project
• Travel < 25% expected.
• Self directs work with limited supervision.
• Work with project team as representative and coordinates work within discipline department.
• Adjusts to varying demands of work and manage changes.
• Skill in oral and written communication
• Works collaboratively across departments and involves others in solving problems. Initiates meetings within own team, other disciplines or internal customers for clarity on work.
• Serves as technical resource and point of contact for external or internal customers.

Software Knowledge:

• STAAD Pro, Risa, STAAD Foundation, Mat 3D Foundation.3D MathCAD
• Navisworks, Microstation, AutoCAD

Preferred Experience

2 years EPC experience

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering

Licensing & Certifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer with NCEES records preferred
