Job summary

Venture Global LNG in Cameron, LA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the project team at the CP2 facility. This role reports to the Director of Engineering and focuses on front‑end interface with site power controls and major equipment turnover.

You will coordinate with EPC and OFE contractors, support pre-commissioning, commissioning and startup activities, and help ensure reliable power systems for LNG production. LNG facilities experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience working with electrical systems.
• Experienced with NEC, NFPA, NETA and ANSI standards.
• Familiarity with power systems modeling tools (ETAP/SKM).
• Experience with switchgears, MCCs, UPS, transformers, EMS/SCADA and electrical studies.
• Preferred LNG liquefaction facility experience.

Responsibilities

• Interface for all site switchgear and power controls alignment.
• Provide input to weekly site engineering report.
• Inspect major arriving equipment and participate in walk downs.
• Maintain log of scope transfers to site and interface meetings between EPC and OFE.
• Assist with system turnover and review of MC’d systems, DFO tasks, PSSRs.
• Assist commissioning team with pre-commissioning, commissioning and startup activities.
• Participate in pre-planning meetings and related activities.
• Validate completions matrix tags and systemized boundaries in advance.

Summary

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our project team in Cameron, LA.

This position is based out of our Calcasieu Pass LNG 2 (CP2) facility located in Cameron, Louisiana.

This position will report to the Director of Engineering.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities

• Interface for all site switchgear, power controls technical alignment

Qualifications

Required experience

• Minimum 10 year’s experience working with electrical systems.
• Experienced with domestic and/or International electrical codes and standards. Including NEC, NFPA, NETA, and ANSI
• Familiarity with Power Systems Modeling Tools such as ETAP/SKM preferable
• Experience with:
• Switchgears (138kV, 4.16kV, 480V)
• Motor Control Centers (MCC)
• Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)
• Transformers
• Energy Management Systems (EMS/SCADA)
• Electrical System Studies

Preferred Experience

• Experience in LNG liquefaction facilities

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with specialization in Power Systems.

Licensing & Certifications

• Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license in good standing.
