Job summary

Venture Global LNG is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our project team in Cameron, LA, at the CP2 facility. The role reports to the Director of Engineering and oversees structural design and coordination for LNG project execution.

You will interface with regulatory bodies, contribute to weekly site reports, and provide technical input to RFIs while coordinating with contractors to resolve issues on site.

Qualifications

• 10–18 years of relevant experience in refining and petrochemical industry, LNG project, preferably with EPC experience and 7–10 years in lead position.
• Self-directs work with limited supervision.
• Provides guidance, leadership and training to less experienced engineers.
• Works with project team as representative and coordinates work within discipline department.
• Adjusts to varying demands of work and manage changes.
• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Works collaboratively across departments and initiates meetings for clarity on work.
• Serves as technical resource and point of contact for external or internal customers.
• Experience in managing and responding to RFIs from owner’s construction team, vendors, EPC contractors.

Responsibilities

• LDOT and ACOE regulatory interface.
• Provides input to weekly site engineering report.
• Review surveyor deliverables and assist with fit up/interface misses at site.
• Provide technical input to field RFIs.
• Co-ordinate with contractor and subcontractor for issue resolution.
