Job summary

Venture Global LNG seeks a Senior Project Engineer to join the site team in Point Celeste, LA, reporting to the Site Engineering Manager and tracking the construction schedule through mechanical completion.

Post transition, the role will support lead different project phases as opportunities are identified, coordinating with engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations teams to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Minimum of ten years of experience in project engineering and/or project management, with at least 4 years in LNG.
• PMP certification or similar project management accreditation preferred.
• Experience working with engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations teams to support operational readiness and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, execution, and tracking of Engineering Projects.
• Monitor construction progress and support activities required to achieve mechanical completion and project turnover milestones.
• Maintain awareness of engineering scope, project deliverables, and contractual interfaces.
• Manage projects through all phases of development and execution, coordinating stage-gate processes.
• Develop engineering scopes of work and coordinate with EPC contractors and vendors as required.
• Manage project costs and ensure work is performed within budget constraints.
• Support development and tracking of departmental KPIs and performance metrics.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, and maintenance teams for successful project execution.

Summary

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our site team in Point Celeste, LA. The Senior Project Engineer reports to the site Engineering Manager and will track the construction schedule to transition the facility to mechanical completion.

Post transition, the role will provide support to lead different project phases as project opportunities are identified.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the development, execution, and tracking of Engineering Projects
• Monitor construction progress and support activities required to achieve mechanical completion and project turnover milestones.
• Maintain awareness of engineering scope, project deliverables, and contractual interfaces.
• Manages assigned projects through all phases of development and execution, coordinating activities through stage-gate processes.
• Develop engineering scopes of work and coordinate with EPC contractors and vendors as required.
• Manage project costs and ensure work is executed within approved budget constraints.
• Support development and tracking of departmental KPIS and performance metrics.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, and maintenance teams to support successful project execution and operational readiness.
• Assist with project reporting, schedule monitoring, risk identification, and issue resolution.

Qualifications

Required experience

• Minimum of ten (10) years experience in project engineering and/or project management, with at least 4 years in the LNG
• Industry or Oil and Gas.
• Strong Knowledge of project management principles, systems, and execution methodologies.
• Experience working with engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations teams to support operational readiness and project delivery.
• Strong understanding of performance monitoring, project reporting, and KPI development.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.

Required Education

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.

Licensing & Certifications

• PMP certification or similar project management accreditation preferred.
