Job summary

Venture Global LNG seeks a Senior Piping Designer to join the Cameron, LA project team. The role focuses on piping layouts, isometrics, and 3D models for the CP2 facility, reporting to the Director of Engineering.

Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD/PDMS/SP3D, and knowledge of ASME/API codes, with strong collaboration across disciplines and client-facing design reviews.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years previous design experience.
• Proficiency in design software like AutoCAD, MicroStation, PDMS, SmartPlant 3D, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API).
• Experience with 3D modeling and clash detection tools.
• Familiarity with construction and installation practices.
• Understanding of project management principles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and VG to clarify scope and objectives.
• Develop and review piping layouts, isometrics, and 3D models using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS, SP3D)
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, codes (ASME, API), and best practice
• Conduct regular design reviews and ensure alignment across disciplines
• Liaise with other engineering disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical) to ensure seamless integration of piping systems
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and client presentations
• Address technical queries and manage design changes effectively. Ensure deliverables meet VG and regulatory standards

We are seeking a Senior Piping Designer to join our project team in Cameron, LA.

This position is based out of our Calcasieu Pass LNG 2 (CP2) facility located in Cameron, Louisiana.

This position will report to the Director of Engineering.

Licensing & Certifications

• Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license in good standing.
