Job summary

Allison Transmission is seeking a Senior Engineer for its Advanced Engineering Team to develop propulsion solutions for future products. You will design new structural housing concepts and cast components in iron and aluminum, applying DFA/DFM, GD&T and tolerance stack-ups.

You will perform loading and life calculations, review analyses, and drive DVPR validation with test data. Collaboration across end markets and strong presentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 6+ years of structural casting experience in powertrain engineering.
• Strong design and validation experience with mechanical components.

Responsibilities

• Develop new structural housing concepts and cast components (iron & aluminum) using sound engineering principles.
• Perform calculations for loading, stress, and life.
• Validate components via DVPR level decisions and test data review.
• Support DFMEA/PFMEA activities and guide product design.
