Job summary

Allison Transmission is seeking a senior professional to drive integration and development of heavy-duty propulsion control systems. You will define system requirements, develop integration strategies in model-based environments, and release control software to production, working with hardware teams to integrate sensors, actuators and controllers.

The role emphasizes MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, DFMEA, and MIL/SIL/HIL approaches in a production setting, across Automotive and related industries.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred.
“5+ years of experience in Powertrain or Vehicle Embedded Control Systems in Automotive/Aerospace/Marine/Construction industries.”
“MATLAB/Simulink experience in a production controls environment.”
“C/C++ experience in a production controls environment.”
“DFMEA experience required.”
“Experience using HIL/SIL/MIL environments for product development.”
“CAN/J1939 serial data communication knowledge.”
“Familiarity with power electronics and electro-mechanical components preferred.”
“Ability to attain a CDL and perform in-vehicle development.”
“Excellent written and oral communication skills.”

Responsibilities

Develop system requirements.
Design/Develop/Implement embedded controls in a production controls environment.
Create/Maintain DFMEAs for Control Systems.
Develop/Execute verification and validation plans.
Lead control system integration including communication and vehicle interfaces.
Utilize MIL/SIL/HIL and test assets for controls development.
Collaborate with customers to optimize system integration.
