Job summary

Allison Transmission is seeking an engineer to develop electrical machine and motor solutions for electric propulsion systems. You will gather requirements from internal customers, market demands, and competitors to drive robust product plans and validation strategies.

Responsibilities include authoring specifications, presenting status reports, conducting root cause analyses, and leading multiple programs with cross-functional teams. Travel may be required; U.S. work eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in electrical machine, electric motor, or electric drive product development.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis.
• Strong communication in cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical machine / electric motor solutions for electric propulsion systems.
• Gather requirements via internal customers, market demands, and competitive assessments.
• Author and release technical specifications.
• Develop and review product plans and validation plans.
• Prepare and present technical status reports for diverse audiences.
• Perform root cause failure analysis troubleshooting.
• Identify and develop opportunities for product improvements.
• Participate in field performance reviews and communicate technical knowledge to field staff.
• Manage multiple programs simultaneously.
