Job summary

APX Company in the United States seeks a Senior Engineer to lead the Engineering Department, ensuring the design, development and support of custom sheet metal enclosures and fabricated products from concept through production.

This role partners closely with Sales, Estimating, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions while developing a high-performing engineering team that supports the company’s long-term growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the Engineering team, fostering accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Establish department goals, priorities and performance expectations aligned with company objectives.
• Conduct performance evaluations and development planning for engineering staff.
• Manage engineering workload, staffing and resources to meet customer and production demands.
• Build and maintain engineering standards, procedures and best practices.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, innovation and customer focus.
• Lead recruiting, interviewing, onboarding and development of engineering staff.
