Job summary

APX is a leader in metal manufacturing of enclosures, custom fabrication, machining and coatings. The Senior Engineer provides strategic and operational leadership for the Engineering Department, ensuring design from concept through production aligns with manufacturability, quality, safety and customer expectations.

You'll partner with Sales, Estimating, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations to deliver cost-effective solutions while developing a high-performing engineering team

Qualifications

• Senior Engineer provides strategic and operational leadership for the Engineering Department.
• Ensures designs meet manufacturability, quality, safety and customer expectations.
• Leads engineering team and partners with Sales, Estimating, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, mentor and develop the Engineering team.
• Establish department goals, priorities and performance expectations.
• Manage workload, staffing and resource allocation to meet demands.
• Oversee design and development of custom sheet metal enclosures and assemblies.
• Review drawings, BOMs and technical documentation for accuracy.
• Support tooling design and process improvements.
• Lead engineering process improvement initiatives.
