Job summary

APX is a metal manufacturing company specializing in enclosures, custom fabrication, machining and coatings. The Senior Engineer provides strategic and operational leadership for the Engineering Department, ensuring design, development, and support from concept through production.

This role partners with Sales, Estimating, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to deliver cost-effective solutions while building a high-performing team reporting to the Director of Engineering.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people development of the Engineering team.
• Establish goals, priorities, and performance expectations.
• Manage workload, staffing, and resources to meet production demands.
• Establish engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Support safety, quality, and customer satisfaction in all projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and development of custom sheet metal enclosures and fabricated assemblies.
• Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with customer specs, codes, and UL requirements.
• Drive design standards to improve manufacturability and efficiency.
• Lead cross-functional project teams from quotation through launch.
