Job summary

APX Company is seeking a Lead Engineer to provide strategic and operational leadership for the Engineering Department, guiding the design, development, and support of custom sheet metal enclosures and fabricated products from concept to production.

The role partners with Sales, Estimating, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and to develop a high-performing engineering team reporting to the Director of Engineering.

Qualifications

• Lead the engineering team and drive accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Establish department goals, priorities, and performance expectations aligned with company objectives.
• Coordinate with Sales, Estimating, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to deliver cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and development of custom sheet metal enclosures and fabricated assemblies.
• Review drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation for accuracy and manufacturability.
• Ensure compliance with customer specs, codes, and UL requirements.
• Lead engineering process improvements and standardize CAD practices.
