Job summary

Baxter is seeking an Engineering Specialist, Facilities and Critical Systems, to ensure reliability and compliance of pharmaceutical facilities and utilities across a global network. You will review designs, support capital projects, and drive energy efficiency and reliability improvements.

The role requires 15+ years in pharma engineering, leadership experience, and strong knowledge of regulatory requirements. Expect travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of pharma facility, utility, or systems engineering.
• 3+ years supporting manufacturing operations.
• 8+ years in engineering leadership or senior technical roles.
• Experience applying cGMP in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of HVAC, WFI, compressed air, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and energy management systems.
• Knowledge of FDA, OSHA, 21 CFR, ISO, and applicable building and safety regulations.
• Experience supporting capital projects from concept through startup and turnover.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar engineering design tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain engineering standards and guidance documents for facilities, utilities, and capital projects.
• Provide technical support for pharmaceutical facility and utility systems.
• Review facility designs, studies, and project plans for regulatory alignment.
• Support manufacturing sites in planning and executing facility upgrades and improvements.
• Evaluate system performance and recommend reliability improvements.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update engineering standards and procedures.
• Develop and maintain project documentation standards (SOWs, URSs, BODs).
